SEQN First Nations Forum | June 2019

Creative Arts Alliance worked with Blaklash to design and facilitate our SEQN First Nations Artists Forum which took place on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) from the 12-14 June.
The project, which also received support from the RASN State Coordinating Office, Arts Front and our 6 local government partners,  supported the gathering of 23 First Nations creatives representing Traditional Owners, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander artists living or working in SEQN. Participants engaged in conversations and activities that supported the development of new connections, sharing practice, discussing challenges and opportunities, and planning for the future. As a result of the forum, the attendees determined that they will establish themselves as a new entity – the SEQN First Nations Artists Collective.
