Farewell Katie! With gratitude from the whole region

It is with heavy hearts that we let you know that our RASN Manager – the amazing Katie Edmiston, is leaving Creative Arts Alliance to take up a leadership role with the State Library.

Like you, we’re sad to see Katie go, but we are also thrilled for her and to see the next phase of her career begin.

Katie was CA’s first employee and since 2018 she has contributed greatly to the overall direction and standing of our organisation. Katie has worked unceasingly with all of our partners to ensure that all the RASN projects have been developed with great depth, engagement and insight and also delivered appropriately within timeframes and budget.

When COVID first hit, Katie’s work was ‘above and beyond’ as she ensured the artists and creative businesses in the SEQN region had the information and support to manage the impacts. Her work in connecting artists and practitioners helped shield our wider sector and will perhaps come to define her time with us.

Some of the key projects that she developed are region-wide projects involving large number of Councils, Regional Galleries, national partners and more. They are projects that have and will continue to change the landscape for all of our creative cultural workers and organisations.

Plans are already in place to fill the gap and ongoing projects will be delivered as planned. Stay tuned for some amazing outcomes over the coming months that will showcase the outcomes of Katie’s great development work.

With thanks from the whole region Katie – travel well!
