Creative Arts Alliance, as part of the Regional Arts Services Network (RASN) and in partnership with Anywhere Festival and Moreton Bay Regional Council is proud to present this unique event opportunity.
Immerse yourself in First Nations culture and creativity as part of this tour of cultural sites, sharing of local history and stories, artist talks and exhibitions
Join Kabi Kabi Traditional Owner, Songman and Storyteller Lyndon Davis on a cultural tour to Dolphin Calling Point as he shares his relationship to place through story and creative expression.
Then take part in a guided tour through the Caboolture Regional Art Gallery and engage with two diverse exhibitions featuring First Nations art works:
- First – with a focus on First Nations artists living in or from Queensland, this exhibition features works from the Moreton Bay Regional Council Art Collection and examines ideas surrounding sovereignty, the continuing impacts of colonisation and connections to place.
- Manggan – gather, gathers, gathering – Emerging from the rainforest canopy of Far North Queensland and a culture spanning countless generations, Manggan – gather, gathers, gathering shares knowledge through the recent works of 19 Indigenous artists from Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre alongside collection objects from the South Australian Museum.

Saturday 6th February 9am – 2pm
9am – Meet at Caboolture Hub for registration and check in
9.30am – Bus to Dolphin Calling Point
10am – Arrival at Dolphin Point and walk and talk
12 noon – Board bus to return to the Caboolture Hub
12.30pm – Arrival back at Caboolture Hub & Lunch
1pm – Guided Tour of Exhibition
The Cultural Tour will leave and return from the at the Caboolture Hub 4 Hasking Street Caboolture. Free Parking is available onsite and the facility is within close walking distance to the Caboolture Train Station.
Please note as part of this event we will be walking on outdoor tracks and natural landscapes which may include grass, rocks, sand. As such, this activity may not be suitable for people with limited fitness, mobility issues, small children in prams / strollers etc.
