School’s out for Summer and it’s time to take a well deserved break, spend some time with friends and family and get involved in some of the great creative activities and events on offer at the Caboolture Hub including – art exhibitions, creative workshops, live music, family events and much more!
Stick Together creative installation and weaving workshops – December
The Stick Together project has seen hundreds of individuals, families and groups across South-East Queensland get creative and stay connected during COVID by taking part in a collaborative weaving project. The final colourful installation is being showcased in the Caboolture Hub foyer this December and January and it’s not too late to be a part of the fun!
Drop in for a fun and free cross-stick weaving workshop on either Tuesday 15 and Thursday 17 December 10am -12pm and add your creation to the collaborative artwork https://www.facebook.com/
Basket Weaving at Caboolture Library, Monday 14 December
Join Kristine Ellis, proud Wakka Wakka woman, and learn how to make a basket using traditional coil weaving techniques with raffia.
Enjoy relaxed surroundings and take your basket home with you. All resources supplied.

Celebrate the end of 2020 with a day of art, storytelling, networking and reflection on the year at Caboolture Hub – Saturday 19 December
Be among the first to see two incredible new exhibitions at Caboolture Regional Art Gallery – Manggan and First. Drop in for simple festive craft activities and meet the new Creative Studio residents at The Hub. Live music and light refreshments will be available throughout the day along with images showcasing the artists, authors, workshop facilitators, exhibitions and activations held at Caboolture Hub over the year that was 2020.

Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner and enjoy an evening of festive tunes guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Joy Connection – 2nd – 31st January
Inspiring workshops, music, arts, crafts and ideas for your wellbeing
Begin 2021 with positivity and joyful intent with live music, creative workshops, dance flash mobs, storytelling, talks and activities for your physical, emotional and human wellbeing. Activities will be running across Moreton Bay libraries, galleries, community and outdoor spaces.

Cross Stick Weaving Workshops
Have you heard about our Stick Together project, recently featured on the ABC News? Come down to check out close to 350 colourful weavings created by local community during COVID. Join in a workshop on 6 February with our artist Mel Brady and add your creation to the exhibition.
The Hub Summer Holiday Program is part of the Get Creative Caboolture initiative delivered through a partnership between Moreton Bay Regional Council and Creative Arts Alliance to engage local communities and enliven and activate the Caboolture Hub and surrounding areas.
